SEMINAR ON “LEVERAGING PRO-AV COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY" IN

PROPELLING INDIA’S DIGITAL FUTURE

 

On 21st November, 2014, Mrs. Akanksha Kulshreshtha, Assistant Professor of Electronics & Computer Engineering Department and Mr. Amar Saraswat, Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering Department from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a one day seminar on “Leveraging Pro-AV Communications Technology in Propelling India’s Digital Future” at FICCI Auditorium, New Delhi. The seminar was organized by FICCI in association with InfoComm International. The objective of this seminar was to disseminate the ways and means making India digital.

   

The esteemed speakers Mr. Virat Bhatia, Chairman, Communication & Digital Economy Committee, FICCI; Mr. Jonathan Seller, Director of Development (Asia/Pacific), InfoComm International; Mr. George Kuruvilla, Director (O&M), Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Ltd. (A Govt. of India Enterprise); Mr. Rajan Methews, Director General, COAI; Mr. Rajesh Patkar, Deputy General Manager, Christie Digital Systems Pvt Ltd shared their views on different aspects leading bright future of digitalization in India.

   

Mr. Virat Bhatia introduced the FICCI’s contribution in Government’s program “Digital India”. He appreciated the steps taken by all the government as well as non-government bodies to spread the essence of digitization in all over the country.

   

Mr. Jonathon proposed many schemes to make the India digitized by using audio visual communication. He expressed the importance of digital communication in today’s world and dependency of technology. Everybody depends on technology for each and every task directly or indirectly.

Dr. Shefali explained the present scenario of cloud computing, comparing it from the history of big frame computers. Mr. Rajesh covered the journey from OHP to ceiling projectors. How rapidly the technology is changing. Mr. Ranjan Methews shared the practical problems which the government is facing to attain the higher frequency range.
