He began by emphasizing on the need of motivation to write a good paper without which a research paper is merely a sheet of paper. He threw light on the fact that India currently lacks innovation, which is the key to writing a good research paper. He also made the gathering ponder upon the fact that “Quality of research papers is more important than Quantity” and how important it is to publish research work in good quality journals and conferences like IEEE and Springer. This was followed by a brief round of question answers. It was overall a very knowledgeable session and was very well received by the audience.

The second session for the day consisted of 3 expert sessions which were delivered by experts: Mr. Hari Ji Srivastav, Mr. EshaanVerma and Mr. Syed Mohd Ahmad from CETPA and CAD CENTER in various field like JAVA, MATLAB and AUTOCAD respectively. The students attended these lectures based on their areas of interest and gathered knowledge on specialization-specific applications and their usage for research purposes.

On the whole Day 1 was a complete package for the students to familiarize them with what is research, how to write a research paper and what tools and technology can be used to bring their research from just and idea to real life.
