SEMINAR ON COMPUTATIONAL INTELLIGENCE USING SWARM

BEHAVIOUR IN REAL WORLD MATRIX

On 14th March 2015, four students Rakesh Kumar (15728), Jaiveer (15712), Dinesh (15707) and Mohit Panchal (15720) from Electronics and Computer Engineering Department and Five students Mridul (16095), Sheetal Rana (16146), Diksha Mangla (16051), Ravinder Sansanwal (16129), Diksha Taneja (16052) and Anu Jindal (16027) from Computer Science & Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a one-day Seminar on Computational Intelligence Using Swarm Behavior in Real World Matrix, commenced organized by KIIT CSI Chapter, Gurgaon.

The seminar focused on computational intelligence techniques and their fast-growing applicationsand promising research topics from the researchers over the years. It brought together many different aspects of the current research on intelligence technologies such as neuralnetworks, support vector machines, fuzzy logic and evolutionary computation, and covers a wide range of applications from pattern recognition and systemmodeling, to intelligent control problems and biomedical applications.

The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. (Prof) S. S Aggarwal, Director General (Ex. Scientist DRDO) in the august presence of Chief Guest Dr. Anil Kumar Singhal (Ex. Scientist DRDO).

During the different technical sessions of the seminar the experts Dr. Suruchi Sinha (NSIT, Delhi University), Dr. Samiksha Goel derived their lectures on computational intelligence, multi-objective optimization in complex system, bioinformatics, comprehensive study of computational intelligence, swarm intelligence and remote sensing etc.

The seminar was informative as the participants learnt how to use combinatorial optimization to help with bioinformatics challenges and also pointed the way to future uses of the techniques. In addition to this, they grasped computational methodologies and approaches to address complex real-world problems using swarm intelligence collective behavior of decentralized, self-organized systems, natural or artificial.

The seminar ended with a vote of thanks delivered by the Organizing Secretary, Prof. K Santhadevi. At the end, the participants were given away the certificates.
