Launch of Windows 10 in India

Microsoft launched with much fanfare its new operating system Windows 10, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on July 29, 2015. Mr. Bhaskar Pramanik, Microsoft India Chairman and Windows Director Mr.Vineet Durani opened Windows 10 to the Indian market.

Microsoft celebrated the milestone of launching Windows 10 with 13 events invited from all over the world. The event was titled 'Do Great Things' carrying the message of 'I Do' as a promotional strategy of Windows 10. Many Microsoft Employees, Windows Insider, Media, MICs, MSA & MSPs were invited in the launching program. Windows Insiders were invited to check out Windows 10 PCs and demos.

A group of 30 students of CSE, IT, CSE&IT, ECS and Civil Department from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon, including MSPs namely Dipti Bhardwaj, Deepak Chandel, DhruvPahuja, Karan Bhalla, Ayushi Mishra along with faculty member Mr. Amar Saraswat witnessed this historic moment.

The event also focused on Microsoft's "#UpgradeYourWorld" charity campaign, including a look at company’s CEO Satya Nadella’s efforts to help institutions get up to speed on Windows 10 as well as other technologies.The tech major, which was betting on inter-devices capabilities before the launch, also showcased the several devices that can run on Windows 10.

Rajiv Makhni, Technology Journalist and Managing Editor of NDTV who hosts the show “Gadget Guru” covered the event.

There were exciting events for students to explore. The event ended up with a fabulous stage performance by Parry G, the Rapper accompanied with M Sonic Band.
