On 17th October 2014, a Webinar was organised in Dronacharya College of Engineering. The topic of Webinar was ‘How technology has changed in the last 20 years’.

The webinar was conducted by three MSA’s from Dronacharya college of Engineering, namely, Karan Bhalla, Deepak Chandel and Dhruv Pahuja with the support of Microsoft Faculty Coordinator Ms. Sarita.

The main aim of the webinar series was to help bring some of the most exciting innovations in education led by Microsoft global experts to us. Microsoft EduCast brings together academic leaders, innovative institutions, and pioneering educators in a monthly series for educators.

Main topic of Discussion was “how communications have changed in the past 20 years”. Communications has changed in three major ways: speed, modality, and location. We expect and need communication to be instant these days and want several different modalities (voice, video, e-mail, IM) to get a hold of someone. In addition, physical location has become irrelevant due to the Internet.
