Komal Chauhan (Roll No.15072) from Computer Science & Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering Gurgaon has been selected as the Student partner for Cognizance ‘14, a techno-cult fest organized by IIT, ROORKEE.

Cognizance, the annual technical festival of IIT Roorkee, is an agglomeration of over 200 events which encompass every wavelength of an entire technical spectrum. Commenced in 2003, cognizance has emerged as the one of the largest festival of its kind in the Indian subcontinent and many of its core events witness a participation numbering in thousands. Today it is known across the country for helping students showcase their talents at the institute level as well as in discipline specific events. Cognizance signifies the zenith of science, engineering and path-breaking technology in a landscape of future visionaries, scientists, corporate bigwigs and inventors. From paper presentations and guest lectures on one hand to debates, quizzes and cultural nights.

The advancement of skill sets among the people led visionaries to envisage better times ahead for the entire human family. The path ahead of us is analogous to a rocky terrain- appears simple from a distance but calls for amends as we tread towards the zenith. Cognizance 2014, the Annual Technical Festival of IIT Roorkee, highlights the need to imagine and engineer our efforts under the theme Imagineering Change.

As the Student Partner, she would get an opportunity to promote, participate and contribute their best in various technical workshops, conferences etc. She will also get a chance to build a strong network with other fellow College Ambassadors and other students to publicize fest related activities that enhance professional development, leadership and communication skills.
