At the India-US Technology Summit 2014, a panel discussion on “Designing Secured IT Processes – Growing Need for IT Security & Compliance” was held on 19th Nov, 14 where eminent personalities discussed the IT Security Challenges and its business impact as well as how to strike the right balance between high ends IT Service and regulatory Compliance measures. The discussion focused on how to attain an ideal maturity level of compliance. Ms. Pratibha Sharma, Ms. Sarita (Asst. Professors, CSE Dept.) and Mr. Yashvardhan Soni, (Associate Professor, IT Dept.) attended the panel discussion.

The discussion was headed by moderator Dr. Ganesh Natrajan (Vice-Chairman & CEO, Zensar Technologies) and welcome address was delivered by Mr. Varun Sood (Co Chairman, CII National CIO Forum and CEO, Fortis Health care Ltd). The panel discussion involved panelists Mr. Rajesh Uppal (Co-Chairman CII National CIO Forum and Executive Director (IT) Maruti Suzuki Ltd.), Mr. Balaji Venketeshwar (CEO, Secure Matrix Pvt. Ltd.), Prof. Abhay Bansal (Head CSE Dept., Amity University, UP), Mr. Manish Tiwari (Chief Security Advisor, Microsoft India) and Mr. Prashant Gupta (Head of Solutions Verizon, India). The discussion revolved around points like exposure that comes from operating within an inter-connected global Eco System, the threats for business persons and the capacities of attackers. The discussion was very informative as they discussed the need to evaluate the importance and priority of their business assets.
