The first panelist Dr. S. Lakshmi Devi, Ex-Principal of the host college, talked about the advancements in technology from 1990s to the present day. She spoke about how the world today is warming up to all the advancements in IT industry, and how it has been a boon to the mankind. The second panelist Ms. Anuradha Sharma, Manager, Cisco’s Innovation Group Operation, India elucidated about the achievements of women who had made their mark in the Technology world and motivated the girl students. She also briefed about some areas in IT sector in which women can excel such as Cyber Security, Cloud Computing and the Internet of Things. Her talk was followed by an interactive session, wherein participants voiced their apprehensions about their scope in the IT sector. The third panelist Ms. Shikha Chadha, Product Manager, Accenture gave further details to the audience about the various initiative taken by IT sector, thereby defying the common belief that it is just about coding. She encouraged the students to locate their domains with which they are comfortable. The fourth panelist Ms. Ankita Tyagi brought forth the whole new topic of IPR– Intellectual Property Rights, and enlightened the audience with all the opportunities present in the field. |
