NES Innovation Award Workshop - 2017

9th January 2017

 

Natarajan Education Society (NES) organized the NES Innovation Award Workshop - 2017 at Natarajan Education Society, Viman Nagar, Pune on 9th January 2017. Eight Team of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon were selected in top 50 teams from all over the country and students namely Vikash Kumar (17170)and Saket Kumar (17121)from Department of Computer Science & Engineeringof Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended the Workshop.

 

Top 50 teams from all over the country had participated in the workshop. Mrs. Gayatri Kelkar, (NES Project Coordinator) hosted all the curriculum of the workshop. She addressed all the participants at NES premises to discuss the acknowledgement of the NES Innovation Award 2017. She resolved all the queries of participants related to the workshop as well as the details of all the projects, and about NES Innovation Award Finale which is going to be held on 2nd March 2017 curriculum. Also, Mrs. Kelkar introduced the two esteemed mentors to participants. In the workshop Mr. Jaideep Kewalramani (Managing Partner 5F World & CEO, Skills Alpha) and Mr. Sachin (C.A , 8 years of experience) were the chief mentors and innovators of the workshop.

 

At the workshop, the mentors discussed the Business Management & Planning of the projects with market values. The strategy of project implementation with its advantages & disadvantages, the revenue generation from the projects and other such aspects were taken into consideration. They also mentioned and guided about how to cope with failures in different situations according to the market standards. Participants got to know about some of the essential needs of marketing for the project and its advertisement, proper understanding of customers need. Planning before the implementation of the project is very crucial was another major topic of the workshop.

 

Later the workshop was taken over by Mr. Sachin, C.A, who has 8 years of experience in the field of Business Management & Planning, he gave an insight on the core of business strategies and practical implementation of the products in the market. He discussed the Vision, Mission, Values & Objectives of the Business standards, the plan for the growth of income from the project, the service provision comprising whether teams have product or they are providing service, its configuration, software / hardware specifications, the raw materials they are using in their project, proper advertisement of that service / product etc. Next he discussed the main key points of Business Management & Planning which made them to understand the customer’s actual needs & demands and the problems they are facing in their actual lives and the perception of the customers towards the product/service. Later, Mr. Sachin focused on the Finance Management of the projects which plays a vital role in marketing. He shared his experience regarding the income & expenditure, cash flow and several other aspects of Business Skills which was ambient to make thoughts more liable & strong towards the projects.

 

The involvement of second speaker, Mr. Jaideep Kewalramani (Managing Partner 5F World & CEO, Skills Alpha) made the environment of the workshop more rigid towards the goal completion. Mr. Kewalramani interacted with the team members present over there and understood their demands according to their projects & ideas. Then he discussed the real problems faced by the beginners. His entrepreneurial experience & skills in the field of Business Management & Planning helped all to learn the important portions of project planning with all knowledge of the product and making the objectives to the point. After that he discussed B to B & B to C plans which was Business to Business and Business to Customer respectively. His views towards the implementation of the project for marketing & advertisement were tremendous. The motivational quote he said during the workshop was “Be Shameless to Learn & Grasp” his words made the participants feel more frank. His session was very interactive and practical to all the participants present in the workshop. His positivity and strong thoughts in Project Management & Leadership quality inspired all the students to a great extent.

 

After the speakers’ session, all the final top 50 teams presented their project ideas with their thoughts & views in front of other participants. Later, there was an interactive Question / Answer session with all the teams one by one related to their projects. Various suggestion and queries were discussed with each other among the teams which helped to boost their ideas and enhance its quality.

 

The workshop focused on the sharing of innovative experiences, training in lean methodologies of Business & Planning Management, Project Implementation, challenges and opportunities for the beginners, Vision, Mission, Values & Objectives of the product around the world. It was an encouraging and enlightening workshop for the participants. Also, it provided a great learning opportunity and provided exposure to the professional skills of project management. The outcome of the workshop was very fruitful as it helped the participants to refine their ideas by applying the suggestions from various participants and mentors.
