Microsoft Student Partner (India) Summit 2014

8th -10th November, 2014

Microsoft India organized Microsoft Student Partner (India) Summit 2014 for all Microsoft Student Associates (MSA) and Microsoft Student Partners (MSP) from 29 different states of India. The summit was held in the campus of Gyan Ganga Institute of Technology and Management at Bhopal from 8th -10th November, 2014 and comprised of knowledge and skill development sessions, discussions, workshops, and other learning and fun opportunities. This year summit focused on following key themes:

1. Changing trends in the world related to services and products

2. Microsoft’s Big Data and Cloud services a boon to the world

3. The role that the MSAs and MSPs will together play for Microsoft

4. How Microsoft is Bringing future into reality

Ms. Sarita from CSE Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon along with Six MSP namely Ayushi Mishra, Deepak Chandel, Dhruv Pahuja, Dipti Bhardwaj, Karan Bhalla and Kunal Ahuja of CSE and IT Department attended the MSP Summit at Bhopal. .

On 8th November 2014 Mr. Sangeeth Vargese, Speaker-Gloabal Shapers Forum started the Summit with a Lead Lab program and Youth Summit for the future technocrats who want to be entrepreneurs. There were some live demos in the session to learn entrepreneurial and management skills. This session was followed by talks from Microsoft Executives and Industry Luminaries. The day ended with Cultural Night, where the Microsoft Country Head, Mr. Venkatesh Sarwasiddhi greeted all MSPs, and the MSP Summit Teaser was launched.

On 9th November, 2014 started with the Marathon by Adidas at 6.00 am. It was a 6km run for the boys and 4km run for the girls. Later, eligible MSPs registered themselves for the FTE exams and gave the exams for internship and job opportunities. The day ended with DJ Night and dinner.

On 10th November 2014, MSA & Faculty coordinator Ms. Sarita had an interaction with Mr. Prabhjot Singh Bakshi and Mr. Aditya Mohan where they discussed about various possibilities of Dronacharya College of Engineering as MIC.

MSPs had a keynote address from the chief Guest, Joseph Landes, (General Manager- Developer Experience and Evangelism, Microsoft India). His remarkable persona and words enlightened each MSP present there to give the best and were inspired to work for Microsoft.

The summit concluded by having Sessions on Windows Azure followed by MS Office 365. In the end there was a Session on Bing and Xbox Gaming. MSA from the College mingled and interacted with fellow MSPs and discussed on various Microsoft possibilities and opportunities.

The students were immensely benefited from the program. They learned a great deal about various Microsoft opportunities and developments. The event was very fruitful and students enthusiastically learned from it.
