A Report on Golden Tech Bridge Programme

 
 

Dronacharya College of engineering, Gurgaon organized CSI-Golden Tech Bridge on 9thAugust, 2014. Dronacharya College has been a pioneer in the field of Technology since 1998. Students of Dronacharya College of Engineering took an initiative in year 2011 to start Computer Society of India Student Branch. Dronacharya CSI Student Branch has been actively working in enhancing student status in the field of Information and Communication Technology which is not only in the field of education but also with providing the possible help for social upliftment programs.

Dronacharya CSI Student Branch hosted the very first Golden Tech Bridge Programme. Objective of this program was to facilitate interaction and collaboration of technologically deprived participants to enrich participant’s general understanding of basic utilities of Computer. The participants were from the technologically deprived groups of society.

Prof. (Dr.) B.M.K. Prasad addressed the inaugural session with his welcome speech. He encouraged the participants for active participation in one day Workshop for their overall growth. He urged them to participate in different programmes under the banner of CSI for their upliftment. He also congratulated the participants for their huge response and enthusiastic participation in the event. He appreciated the efforts of Event Coordinators for organizing the CSI Golden Tech Bridge Programme.

Ms. Maneela Tuteja, the subject expert, depicted the importance of basic knowledge of computer in various spheres of life. She emphasized on the importance of the out of box thinking. She delivered a session on Basic fundamentals of Computer, Usage of computer, and Practical Applications of computer. The participants were also briefed about the simple and routine uses of computer technology. She demonstrated how a computer is used to perform a plethora of tasks.

About 100 candidates participated in this gracious initiative of CSI . The knowledge extracted from this event would be documented and circulated to the participants.

During the valediction ceremony vote of thanks was given by Prof. (Dr.) Jitender Kumar, HOD IT, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon. He thanked the dignitaries for sparing the valuable time and gracing the occasion. He also thanked the participants and staff who left no stone unturned to make the event a grand success.
