Entrepreneurship Educator Program

21st - 23rd December 2016

 

A Three days Entrepreneurship Educator Program was conducted by National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) during 21st - 23rd December 2016 at BIMTECH, Greater Noida. The aim of this program was to help teachers to develop entrepreneurial qualities in training students.

 

Ms. Ashu Khurana, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering from Dronacharya College of Engineering participated in the workshop.

 

Day 1: 21st December 2016

The session started with the Welcome Address by Mrs. Sanya Singh, Consultant, NEN. The session was co-conducted by Mrs. Kalpana Sinha, Consultant, NEN. Mrs. Sinha briefed the audience about the three days Entrepreneurship Educator Program and explained the need of Entrepreneurship based education along with its importance in Academic areas. She emphasized on the fact that Entrepreneurship Educator Program is the key driver of the Indian economy.

 

During the second session Mrs. Sinha discussed the ways to generate ideas by using the D.I.S.R.U.P.T (Drive, Include, Separate, Repurpose, Unite, Personalize, Transplant) model. She also explained the use of 5Q Rubric model and Decision Matrix analysis to find out the best feasible idea of a product.

 

Day 2: 22nd December 2016

Mrs. Sinha explained the concept of Effectuation: Decision making principles for Entrepreneurs. She discussed Segmentation and Targeting and then explained how evaluation of each marketing segment is initiated against several criteria before picking a target market segment for a venture.

 

Mrs. Sinha also explained the Niche Marketing Strategies in which she said that Niche Marketing is a type of marketing strategy that focuses on Micro segment within the market.

 

Day 3: 23rd December 2016

Mrs. Sinha discussed the ‘Value Proposition Design’ helpful in attracting customers. She discussed about the Prototyping Essentials and Minimum Viable Product (MVP).

 

Mrs. Sinha said that the idea behind a Minimum Viable Product is to rapidly bring a minimum set of features that are enough to deploy the product and test the key assumptions about customers’ interactions with the product.
