Alumni Interaction Program

 

With an aim, to promote and foster interaction amongst the Alumni and students, Alumni Interaction Program was organized for 2013 - 17 Batch by Department of Computer Science & Engineering, on 29th July 2016 at Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon.

Ms. Disha Papneja, an alumnus of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon and Software Developer, IBM visited the campus to interact with the students. During the program, Ms. Papneja discussed about important topics like qualitative aptitude, reasoning and verbal section for clearing the written interview. She focused over the attitude of aspirant, communication skills and basic etiquettes for interview.

Along with giving tips on various aspects like Facing Interviews & Group Discussions, Professional Resume Writing, Cracking Aptitude Exams, Skill Development etc. she emphasized on gaining more practical knowledge rather than theoretical.

Ms. Papneja discussed varying selection criteria(s) of the companies, interview rounds, packages offered by the companies and guided students for their brighter future. She also told the importance of Co-Cubes, AMCAT and ELITMUS and guided about various ways to score well in these placement exams.

Ms. Papneja also shared her interview experience of several companies, with the students so that students can have a basic idea about interview questions and how to tackle the tough interview questions. She gave example of various programming interview questions that are generally asked during the interview from the freshers. Various approaches on a problem are also discussed by her so that the interviewer can see creativeness, deep knowledge in a particular domain and the attitude to solve any new problem.

Talking about Personality Development, Ms. Papneja explained that it is the growth and development of the thinking, perception, attitude, nature, mood, behavior and activities that differentiate among people. It is a tool to bring out one’s abilities and powers for making himself aware of his inner self and becomes more confident to face the outside world. Personality means uniqueness, individuality and appearance of a person and the reflection of thinking, emotions, behavior, communication skills and corporeal characteristics.

The program proved to be very fruitful, interactive and knowledge sharing. It was a good opportunity for students as well as Ms. Disha Papneja, to reconnect with their alma mater.
