EKAL STUDY CIRCLE MEET

26th March 2016

 

“Ekal Study Circle Meet” was held on “SAMRASTA: Social Harmony to Promote Equality” organized by Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation on 26th March 2016 at India International Centre, New Delhi. Saurabh Kumar (17129), Sanatan Jha (17127), Priyanka Mogha (17106), Ritika (17117) from Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended the meet.

In the meet, there were three guest speakers, Dr. Virendar, Director, Strategic Planning Programme, Mrs. Monika Arora, Senior Practicing Advocate in Supreme Court, New Delhi and Dr. Manas, Vice President of Shiksha Sanskriti Utthas Nayaas, to highlight the term “SAMRASTA”.

The event started with inaugural ceremony. Then, Mrs. Monika Arora gave a presentation on the “EKAL SANSTHAN” in which the participants got to know about the meaning of Ekal, its aim and achievements. Mrs. Monika discussed that as modernisation and globalisation engulf us, therefore, Ekal also improves the way of providing knowledge by providing laptops to the students of rural areas. Also, Mrs. Arora discussed the biography of ‘Swami Vivekananda’ and ‘Baba Bhim Rao Ambedkar’, and explained SAMRASTA by taking several examples.

Then, Dr. Virendar, highlighted the significance of use of technology in rural entrepreneurship for fast track development of tribal & rural Bharat. He also explored the ways by which Ekal can be linked to National Skill Development Corporation. Dr. Virender also gave detailed information on ‘SAMRASTA’, as to why samrasta is more important to today’s youth.

Later, Dr. Manas, explained about ‘SAMRASTA’ with respect to Swami Vivekanand and in reference to the Sanskriti, Sanskar and Shiksha - Daan. He also shared his experience in Ekal Sansthan, and teaching students in rural areas.

The session was followed by the query round, in which participants raised their doubt. In the end, Mr. Shankar, organiser of the event delivered the Vote of Thanks.
