The Computer Science and Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized an industrial visit to Networkers Guru on 12th November 2014. Forty five students of VII Semester from Computer Science and Engineering Department along with faculty coordinator Mr. Tanupriya Choudhary participated in the event. The purpose of this industrial visit was to make the students familiar with several Cisco Certification programs which include CCNA, CCNA Security, CCNA voice, CCNP, CCNP Security/CCSP, CCNP Voice/CCVP, CCIP , CCIE Routing & Switching, CCIE Security, CCIE Voice, CCDA, and CCIE Service Provider Report on Industrial Visit to Networker Guru, Gurgaon .

Mr. Samar Nirmal, Trainer , Networker Guru addressed the students and discussed about various networking concepts like Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Wireless, Video & IP Telephony, Server & Storage etc. CCNA is the most popular certification in Networking by CISCO. CISCO created this course to recognize basic competency in installation and support of small/medium sized network. It is the entry level exam for Cisco. After completing this course candidate can connect, configure, and troubleshoot various Cisco networking devices.

CCNA Security Training (Cisco Certified Network Associate): This is the basic associate level program offered by CISCO in network security technology. It Covers Firewall, Cisco Router & Switches Security, Network attacks/Hijacking, After completion of CCNA Security a candidate will be able to install, troubleshoot & Monitoring of CISCO Security Devices.

CCNA Voice Training (Cisco Certified Network Associate: VOICE): It is an associate level program offered by Cisco in VOIP Technology. After Completion of CCNA Voice a candidate will be able to handle CISCO IP Phone Connectivity with call manager, call routing, IP Telephony and Voice mail systems.

CCNA Data Center (Cisco Certified Network Associate Data Center): It is a time oriented and economical qualification that promotes professionalism and helps you maintain networking credentials by means of the most effective techniques. Competence as an important measure of the certification serves in developing strategy, application, sustentation and inauguration skills that increase productivity and the excellence of learning.

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP): is Professional Level Certification in Routing Switching Technologies offered by Cisco. With a CCNP certification, a network professional demonstrates the knowledge and skills required to manage the routers and switches that form the network core, as well as edge applications that integrate voice, wireless, and security into the network. The CCNP training curriculum includes building scalable Cisco networks.

The students got immense knowledge from the visit. They got first-hand information on how networking is carried out in the Information Technology Industry.
