Industrial Visit to CETPA INFOTECH Pvt. Ltd.

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized an industrial visit to CETPA INFOTECH Pvt. Ltd, Noida on 4th September 2015. A group of thirty two students from Information Technology, Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Computer Engineering, Department along with Faculty Coordinator, Mr. Dharmendra Pal, took part in the visit.

The purpose of this Industrial visit was to provide students an insight regarding internal working of the company. With an aim to go beyond academics, industrial visit provides student a practical perspective on the world of work. It provides students with an opportunity to learn practically through working methods.

Mr. Anurag Kaushik, Techno Executive, CETPA INFOTECH, explained students about cloud computing and database technologies and briefed on job opportunities in the field of Cloud Computing. He discussed about various certification tracks in Oracle Data Base like OCA (Oracle Certified Associate, OCP (Oracle Certified Professional) and OCM (Oracle Certified Master). He motivated that student can opt for either database for Administration or Java for programmer position.

Mr. Kaushik then discussed on industry demands and career scope in cloud computing. He highlighted that Cloud Computing is a model of network computing where a program or application runs on connected servers rather than on a local computing device such as PC, tablet or smart phone. In simple terms it is about storing and accessing data and programs on the internet rather than on personal hard drive. The cloud computing has completely revolutionized the way the IT companies use their IT resources in the past decade. Cloud Computing offers a lot of opportunities and potential when it comes to innovation in IT sector. Professionals equipped with efficient cloud computing concepts and skills are in huge demand in the IT sector. This promises attractive salary packages and perks to the skilled professionals.

He also discussed about the concept of Big Data. Big data analytics is the process of examining large data sets containing a variety of data types. Big Data is used to uncover hidden patterns, unknown correlations, market trends, customer preferences and other useful business information. The analytical findings can lead to more effective marketing, new revenue opportunities, better customer service, improved operational efficiency, competitive advantages over rival organizations and other business benefits.

Mr. Ranjeet Singh, Business Development Executive, CETPA INFOTECH explained students about Robotics. Robotics is a branch of Artificial Intelligence that deals with the design, construction, and operation of robots and is also used to control, and perform sensory feedback with information processing with the help of computer systems.

He also explained about the job criteria required for various types of companies. He discussed about the latest skill set required by the industry like PHP, Java, HTML 5, Big Data, Magento, Android and Word Press etc.

Students got an opportunity to meet the experts of various domains as per their interest and a scope to visit the domain labs.

The visit was informative and knowledgeable to the students as they learnt about latest technologies like, CCNA, Cloud Computing and Database, and Linux. It also motivated them to look for career opportunities in the emerging field of Information Technology.
