INTEL EASY STEPS TEST

2nd December 2014

 

Econs Solution Pvt. Ltd. on behalf of Intel conducted the Intel Easy Steps test at Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon on 2nd December 2014. Total 121 students from CSE, IT, CSIT and ECS department appeared for the first round of the test on 29th September 2014. Total Twenty eight students of the college qualified for the All India Level Test held on 2nd December 2014. Five students of DCE scored above 90 out of 100 in the final test.

 

Intel Easy Steps is a course designed to learn the basic steps of how to use a computer effectively, and to apply computer skills in daily life. The curriculum is arranged into fourteen modules, which covers the use of different technology areas. Each module enables to:

 

1. Understand the basics of computers.

2. Understand and use computer applications such as graphics, word processing, spread-sheets and multimedia applications.

3. Understand and use web-based applications such as Internet Search, Email, Instant Messaging and Collaborative Documents.

4. Communicate, collaborate and create products such as brochures, flyers, budgets, websites and others.

5. Develop a product portfolio of the end products.

 

The Intel Learn Easy Steps program is currently deployed in 20 countries: Australia, Bangladesh, India, Jordan, Kenya, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Korea, Lebanon, Malaysia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, South Africa, Tanzania, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, and Zambia.

 

Intel has a sustained focus on spreading digital literacy, which will help India improve its national competitiveness and stay ahead in the global digital economy. Intel supports the objective of the National Information Technology Policy—to make one person from each household in India digitally literate by 2020—and is working to empower communities across the country with information and communication technologies (ICT) and access to online resources, and the endless possibilities that go with it. Intel has also created an Android based application of the Intel Easy Steps curriculum to take this program to the next level.

 

Undergraduates and Graduates from all streams are eligible to enrol themselves for the test. The syllabus included Computers Awareness on Ms Office, Basics, Internet and usages. The test is one hour duration and the question pattern of MCQ format. The Test is an initiative for the preparation of placement.
