YOGA RUN

Its endeavour to contribute in the nation building movement spearheaded by Yoga, Paras Buildtech partnered the Under the aegis of THE BRAHM KUMARIS, in association with Ministry of AYUSH “Yoga Run for Peace & Unity 2016”, hosted on 18th June, 2016 at Rajpath, India Gate. The event was graced by Padamshree Olympian Sh. Milkha Singh, in conjunction with United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, along with many other eminent personalities and participants.

Students from all departments of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon participated in the event which witnessed integrated participation from the city's youth, enthusiastic senior citizens and large volunteer base from NSS, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Bharat Scouts & Guides, Lions Club & Paras Buildtech. The event was well coordinated by Delhi Police and the participants experienced a hassle free registration to make the “Yoga Run for Peace & Unity 2016” a success. Mr. Ashutosh Sharma and volunteers from Paras Buildtech, distributed 5000 T-shirts among the participants, targeting youngsters and the elderly.

The 6 km Mini Marathon from and to India Gate taken place from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Starting from India Gate it passed through Mansingh Road Crossing Rajpath-Rafi Marg, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Road, Janpath, Rajpath and finished at India Gate. About 6000 participants from various organizations took part in this Yoga Run including Additonal Chief of Brahma Kumaris Rajyogini Dadi Hirdaya Mohini; Motivational Speaker, Sister B K Shivani and others.

It was a great learning experience for all the students and they participated enthusiastically in the run. Such events motivate them to be more conscious for their health.
