WORKSHOP-LATEX

The Spoken Tutorial Centre of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized a one-day workshop for the students on 11th September 2013 in association with Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay under the coordination of Mrs. Chitra Kaul, Associate Professor.

The Objective of this workshop was to give the students an overview of Document structure, Document classes and packages, Environments and Exercises related to Latex.

Latex is typesetting software primarily used to typeset documents containing a lot of mathematics. It's widely used throughout the academic world to publish technical journals or books, but has more applications such as typesetting letters, resumes and much more. This software is used to create short or long mathematical articles, consisting of paragraphs of text interspersed with mathematical equations and expressions.

A total of 65 students participated in the workshop and they were given certificates after clearing the on-line test conducted by IIT, Bombay.
