SYMANTEC SYMPOSIUM

Mrs. Neelam Ruhil, Associate Professor from Computer Science and Engineering of Dronacharya College of Engineering Gurgaon, attended the Symantec Symposium 2014 on “Information Availability, Intelligence and Data Protection and Information Control & Security” held at Eros Hotel, Nehru Place, New Delhi on 13th February 2014. The objective of this symposium was to discuss the technical aspects of intelligence, data protection, user productivity, and security issues.

The distinguished speakers Mr. Bjorn Engelhardt, the Vice President Products, Services & Cloud APJ, Symantec Corporation; Mr. Tarun Kaura, Director Technology Sales, Symantec India); Mr. Sivarama Krishnan, Executive Director, Pricewaterhouse Coopers (Risk Advisory Services)), Mr. S.C. Mittal, Sr. ED (Management Services & IT ), IFFCO rolled over security concept and sophisticated attacks, in more complex and heterogeneous environments. They further reiterated the commitment of Symantec to provide a complete and maximum protection with a high performance and intelligent integration for any efficient and effective infrastructure.

Mr. Sivarama Krishnan, Executive Director, Pricewaterhouse Coopers (Risk Advisory Services) discussed on that how to optimize our infrastructure for cloud to speed delivery of new product and services, enterprise mobility & management.

The symposium was educative as the participants grasped some additional information regarding the emerging trends of industry practices and upcoming challenges of Information Management, Information Security and User Productivity and Protection.
