Ms. Meenu Gupta, Assistant Professor Department of Computer Science Engineering, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a two month Summer Faculty Research Fellow Programme - 2014 from 15 May 2014 to 16 July 2014 at IIT Delhi.
The main objective of this programme was to help in initiating and inculcating a research culture among the faculty members of Engineering and Science Institutes apart from IIT organizations. A number of faculty members from across the nation attended the Summer Faculty Research Fellowship Program and got an opportunity to explore in their field of research under the guidance of faculty members of IIT Delhi.
During the program, Ms. Meenu Gupta did her research work in the domain of Cloud Computing under the guidance of Mr. Gopal Krishan, System Manager, Computer Service Centre, IIT Delhi. She got an opportunity to exchange knowledge with the other faculty members and research fellows of the group. She got exposure to the lab equipments and VMware Software (cloud and virtualization software) associated with the faculty mentor. The program was highly useful for the faculty member and got an opportunity to approach the core CSE research topic of “Deployment of Cloud using Open Sources with a virtualization perspective.”
