SOFTWARE COURSE

The department of Information Technology and the department of Computer Science Engineering jointly organised a four –day workshop on “Software Foundation Course” in association with software giant IBM from 9th to 12th September 2013. The objective of this workshop was to discuss the concepts of Computing, PhP, Linux, Unix, Free & Open Source Software (FOSS) and to provide hands-on experience to the students.

Mr. Anand, IBM Representative shared ideas on latest technical prospects required by the corporate world. During the four days, he elucidated a number of topics like Computing, Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer (ENIAC), Universal Automatic Computer (UNIVAC ), Microsoft Disk Operating System (MS-Dos), Art & Science of Programming, Windows OS, Software licensing, Website & Software Development, Web applications in HTML & Java Script etc.

More than 250 students and 15 faculty members from both departments of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended the workshop. The hands on sessions of the workshop were based on real life examples which helped students to understand the concepts and relate them accordingly.
