GLOBAL SME BUSINESS SUMMIT 2014 |

Dr. (Prof.) B. M. K. Prasad from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended Global SME Business Summit 2014: Enabling Global Economic Growth through SME Partnership jointly organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi from 8th-9th October 2014.

In his inaugural address, Mr. Madhav Lal, Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India discussed the objective of MSME and role of Government of India especially in the service sector. Manufacturing Business for advocacy, service segment, better articulate requires a supportive environment for SME and relation with Industries-Academia. He also gave stress for the length and breadth of Government for the reluctant stake holders who create good environment and SME and Government of India, induced certain phases, help enterprises especially cluster. Similar enterprises, national element competitiveness, quality management, quality tools, packaging technologies, excellent result, scale-up to rich which are required for SME. He also pointed out over networking with large number of association, accreditation, received support from Government of India, institutions with confederation of Indian Industry with the clear role and important initiatives for zero defects and zero effects. |
Mr. T.T. Ashok, co-chairman, CII National SME council highlighted the information regarding developmental initiatives, sustainability and enhancing the competitiveness of the MSME Sector and several path breaking initiatives of CII in the core areas. |
Ms. Patricia Hewitt, Chair of UK India Business Council in her address described noble and great relation of India and UK can play major role for International Industries, Universities, Bi-National Investment, Dynamic sectors, Aerospace Business as Business council of UK companies. She expressed her happiness for the message of Make in India, Export in India for more SME partnership in India. |
Mr. R.C. Bhargova, Chairman, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. in his keynote briefed about the entire role of SME in India, support from financial area, partnership and relationship continue to make an environment for SME. He stressed for reducing the cost of the product. Role of SME India is much more important for generating a large number of employments for manufacturing sector and competitiveness for money for the customers. Growth is also a key factor for employment, development of large industries, banking, insurance related with Automobile Industry, larger manufacturing sector and growth for service sector. Modern manufacturing sectors have value of the production. Medium Industries are the backbone of the country. Business environment should change for development, learning from productivity challenges through modern SME steps. |
The program of Global SME Business Summit 2014 over Enabling Global Economic Growth SME partnership was addressed by National and International eminent speakers, Experts of the areas in various sessions with the Agenda for Growth opportunities in France, Gulf & Middle East, Korea, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Indo-Japan SME Partnership, MSME in Agro and Food Processing, ICT manufacturing, Banks Interfaces, Finance Services, Defence and Aerospace, Tourism, Technology, Innovation, R&D and Entrepreneurships for SMEs and Renewable Energy. |
