NITTTR’s ICT based Short Term Course on PHP and MySQL

Dronacharya College of Engineering in association with NITTTR,Chandigarh, MHRD, Govt. of India Conducted Short Term Course on PHP and MySQL through ICT from 22nd, 24th- 26th September 2014. NITTTR, Chandigarh.
The Course had 3 sessions per day. The 1st session on day one commenced with inauguration and an Overview of Open Source and Installation of Xampp by Mr. Amit Deogar, Dept. of Computer Science Engineering, NITTTR Chandigarh. The 2nd and 3rd sessions were based on Installation Practice and Webpage designing using HTML Integration with PHP by Mr. Amit Deogar and Ms. Shano Solanki. Every session was quite interactive with questionnaire from the participants and doubt clarification.
The 1st session of the second day had discussions on “Basics of PHP” by Ms. Sangeeta. She discussed about what makes a dynamic site different to a static site and PHP & MySQL, definitions and explanation of the 3 tier application system. The 2nd session had discussion on “CSS and Javascript” by Ms. Shikha. The 3rd session of the day had hands-on-practice of the technical aspects of the topics discussed during 1st and 2nd session.
The 1st session of the 3rd day of the workshop started with discussion on “Arrays and Functions” by Ms. Shano Solanki who discussed about the technical aspects for implementing arrays and function in PHP. The 2nd session of the day had hands on practice on the implementation of Functions and Arrays discussed in the 1st session. The 3rd session of the day had discussion on “MySQL Connectivity and Form Handling” by Ms. Shikha.
The 1st session of the 4th day had discussion on “Ajax and XML” by Mr. Sunil Bhutani continued with hands-on-practice in the 2nd session of the day. The 3rd session had discussion on “MySQL Connectivity and Countermeasures” by Ms. Meenu Dogra. The session also discussed on Website Vulnerabilities, Assessment and Testing.
The 1st session of the last day of the workshop had discussion on Cookies and Session Management by Ms. Meenu Dogra. The 2nd session was taken by Ms. Meenu Dogra on the topic Advance PHP mail function and uploading files. The workshop concluded in the 3rd session with the feedback and evaluation session conducted by Ms. Shano Solanki and Ms. Sangeeta Gupta. On behalf of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Prof. Vishal Bharti, Head, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering delivered the Vote of Thanks.
