SEVENTEENTH FRESHERS’ WELCOME FUNCTION

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized the Seventeenth Fresher’s Welcome Function "Diksha Samaroh" on 23rd August 2014 extending a red-carpet welcome to the budding Engineers. Cultural events were organized by senior Dronacharyans.

Lighting the Lamp, the Chief-Guest, Hon'ble Dr. Satish Yadav, Chairman, Dronacharya College of Engineering declared the function open. Extending heartiest welcome to brilliant and ambitious aspirants, he shared his belief in amelioration, escalation and exaltation. Hon'ble Chief-Guest reiterated that since inception of the college, the management is sincere and sensitive to social issues which concern the villages as well as State, Nation and mankind in general. He also ensured that the college fraternity is putting in their best to craft students' career by combining intelligence with diligence. Addressing the large gathering of students, about Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon is committed to provide all facilities to the students for exposure of innovation and creativity not only to adapt new situations but also to lead the corporate world. He appreciated the performance of students in Vishnu Avatar, Incredible India, Hip - Hop, Crazy Steppers and other events which mesmerized the entire audience.

The Principal Prof. (Dr.) M.N. Hussain also addressed the students who have manifested an unflinching faith in DCE, Gurgaon. He promised that following the traditions, the students will be viewed with admiration and compassion at college campus. He wished them a pleasant stay and every success in realizing their aspirations at DCE, Gurgaon.

During the function other distinguished guests Hon’ble General Secretary of DGI, Smt. Kailash Yadav; Director Prof. (Dr.) B. M. K. Prasad also presided over the function.  

The cultural committee and revered judges selected and honoured Mr. Vedant Kar as Mister Fresher and Miss Kashika Grover as Miss Fresher 2014. The Function was closed with a vote of thanks by Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Yadav, Registrar, DCE, Gurgaon. He  expressed his heart-felt gratitude to Hon’ble Chief-Guest,  Hon’ble Principal,  all HODs, the Convenor of the function Prof. Vishal Bharti; the  faculty, staff and students of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon   for their  guidance, support and valuable contribution in making the function a success.
