ONE-DAY ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

The department of Applied Sciences & Humanities of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organised a one-day Orientation Program on 24th January 2014 through Plant Edu, Gurgaon, a renowned and authentic Centre of Cambridge English Exams, U.K.

The objective of this program was to make the learners well familiar regarding Cambridge English Assessment particularly Business English Certificate (BEC). Addressing the students Mr. Sanjay Malviya, Hon’ble CEO, the Planet Edu, Gurgaon elucidated the importance of Employment Skills, English Language Skills, Information & Communications Technology (ICT) Skills, Success Skills, Business Skills, Communication Skills, Managerial & Leadership Skills, Creativity & Innovation Skills etc.

Explaining the relevance of Cambridge English Exams he shared that these exams are taken by over 3 million people in 130 countries and help them gain entrance to universities or colleges, improve job prospects or measure progress in English. More than 12,000 employers, universities, government bodies around the world recognise Cambridge English qualifications.

The program was very much beneficial to the budding technocrats as they came to know more about global importance of language skills. It ended with a vote thanks by the Convener Prof. (Dr.) Sri Krishan Yadav, HOD (Applied Sciences & Humanities Department).
