ORIENTATION PROGRAM

Civil Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized a One Day orientation Program on SOLID WORKS on 12th February 2015 and conducted by Drona Dynamics, a registered company which was founded by alumni of IIT Delhi and headed by Mr. Saumya Mathur. The team of Drona Dynamics experienced in developing, designing and fabricating robots, auto mobiles and precision equipment as projects at IIT Delhi.

They delivered presentation on their new inventories. The software CAD software like AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks, SolidEdge etc have become standard across all industries dealing with hardware development of any kind including automobiles, aerospace, component development, electrical and electronics, oil and gas, construction and architecture and manufacturing. CAD proficiency has become imperative even for those involved in basic science research due to the far-reaching effects and intuitive nature of the field. A CAD certification would spur the student’s career and improve his/her employability by a large degree.

Drona Dynamics’ CAD Builder Program is structured into Basics and Competence components like

In this program the students were introduced to some important topics relating to like 3D modeling and drawing, Drafting, Component Assembly, Rendering, Basic Design Analytics and Improvement and Iterations. The Drona dynamics team presented to the students Advanced Modeling, Surfacing and Sheet Metal Development, Costing, Aesthetics, Ecological Impact Analysis, Advanced Analytics, Simulations in moving frame, Motion Studies and Applications and Utilities.

The program for the workshop was tailored according to the session durations. After the presentation 15 students were registered from Civil Engineering Department to work jointly with DRONA DYNAMICS on their projects.
