The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon celebrated “Entrepreneurship Orientation Program” in association with National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) from 5th to 6th September 2013.

E-leader Pankaj Mehandiratta (Roll No. 13202) began the inaugural ceremony by addressing the audience about DCE-E cell and how it helps the students of DCE to become entrepreneurs. Prof. Swati Jha, HOD (Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering) addressed the students regarding the history and scope of entrepreneurship. E-Leaders Aditi Khazanchi (Roll No. 13006) and Anuj Yadav (Roll No. 14606) briefed about the Idea Generation Exercise which was then performed and presented by the participants with great passion. Mr. Naseer Ahmad Khan, Chief Manager, Syndicate Bank, Gurgaon enlightened the audience regarding how the government banks help innovators become entrepreneurs. Next was the briefing of the Rs. 50 exercise which was done by E-Leader Rishabh Kumar Taneja (Roll No. 13451). The day ended with the screening of the movie “Pirates of the Silicon Valley” to make the participants understand real life experiences of entrepreneurs.

E-Leader Garima Bhasin (Roll No. 13040) coordinated the presentations of Rs. 50 exercise. Mrs. Kalpana Sinha NEN Consultant discussed about Opportunity Evaluation – The Seven Domain Framework by John Mullins. Another entrepreneur Mr. Ankur Singla, Founder and CEO of AKOSHA, New Delhi addressed the participants on how to create a commercial product from an idea. The two day interactive and informative program came to an end with the Valedictory gathering. The winners were given away awards and certificates by worthy Principal Prof. (Dr.) M. N. Hussain.
