During the 2nd Open Policy Meeting of IRINN and the ISOC Delhi Chapter Meeting, speakers like Mr. Ajay Kumar, Manager, IRINN and Mr. Srinivas Chendi, Senior Internet Development Advisor, Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC)) expressed their views about various Internet Protocols i.e. IPv4 and IPv6. They discussed about various network models and the soon to be exhausted IPv4 addresses. Mr. Srinivas Chendi told about some facts of the internet and its usage, number of root servers present in India as well as in world, assigning of IP addresses on global level by Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) which is responsible for the global coordination of the DNS Root, IP addressing, and other Internet protocol resources. |
