JOOMLA WORKSHOP

Department of Computer Science & Engineering organized a one day workshop on JOOMLA by TOFL Technologies Ltd. Gurgaon on 15th September 2014. A team from Freelancers was there to present the workshop. The speaker familiarized students with Joomla and taught about various aspects of it.

The speaker of the workshop was Mr. Yaman. The motive of the workshop was to make students familiar with Joomla and how they can use it more effectively and efficiently as compare to other soft wares in the market.

He briefed the students about various versions of Joomla, the latest one and what is its avantages.Students learnt how to create a database online and to use it according to their needs. They also learnt to host a local server. The speaker told them about various templates which they can use in Joomla to make the appearance of their website more interactive. He taught students the way to create menu, the process to insert, update and delete the data content and the manner in which they can insert a picture. He also made students familiar with various plugins and modules of Joomla.

The workshop was very much valuable to the students as they learnt various new things. The speaker communicated students about the competition which is going on and after their winning in that may make them a member of Free Lancers team. Also, students emanate to know about the internship opportunities provided by the TOFL Technologies – Webcell.
