INDUSTRIAL VISIT-ME

Mechanical Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized a one-day Industrial Visit to M/s Hero MotoCorp Ltd. Neemrana, Gurgaon for a group of 33 students ( 4th Semester ) on 15th February, 2014 under the coordination of the faculty members Mr. Vijay Wakhlu, Associate Professor and Mr. Amit Narwal, Assistant Professor of the department.

Mr. Nirmal Chaudhary, AGM (HR) and Sh. Arun Sharma Manager (HR) at Hero MotoCorp Ltd., guided the students and briefed them on Frame Manufacturing Shop, Petrol Tank manufacturing, Crank Case manufacturing, Engine Assembly, Motor Cycle Assembly and Testing etc during the visit.

The students could observe how the infrastructure, the main operations done in each shop, raw materials used and their handling etc. While going around crank case manufacturing students were shown the automatic NC machines and robots working.

In the assembly shop the overhead and ground level conveyors used to move body and fitment of parts for continuous production was explained to students.They also understood how quality is controlled.

The visit was informative as it enriched the applications of technical concepts grasped by the students.
