SUMMER FACULTY RESEARCH FELLOW PROGARMME

Ms. Sarita, Assistant Professor from Computer Science Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a six-week Summer Faculty Research Fellow Programme-2014 from May 15th, 2014 to June 29th, 2014.

The main objective of this progamme was to help in inducting and inculcating research culture among the faculty of engineering and science institutes outside IIT system. During the program, Ms. Sarita did her research work in Wireless Sensor Network under the guidance of Dr. B.S. Panda, Head of Department (HOD), Mathematics, IIT Delhi.

She also got an opportunity to interact and work with the faculty and research students of the group and got exposure to the equipment and lab facilities associated with the faculty mentor. Accesses to other general facilities such as the central library were also being feasible. A number of faculty members across the nation attended the Summer Faculty Research Fellowship Program got the opportunity to explore their research work under the guidance of faculty members of IIT Delhi.

The program was very much useful as the attendees got the opportunity to approach the core CSE research topic of Interference Minimization in Wireless Sensor Network with a mathematical perspective.
