GUEST LECTURE

A guest lecture was organized on 26th September 2014 by the Department of Computer Science of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon. The lecture was planned to make the students conversant with the corporate world and to face the tasks they will be going through followed by a session how to crack a interview as well as they are interested to make a cell for in house consultancy for projects and placements and training.The presentation was given by Key Speaker Mr. Pankaj Prasad and Mr. Pawan Kumar from Webswastech Pvt. Ltd .

Webswastech Pvt. Ltd. is a professional software development company based in the capital city of India, Delhi. They have developed various websites using web development technologies like PHP & MySQL, HTML5, JOOMLA, WORDPRESS and DRUPAL. Besides India, this company has also won the confidence of various global organizations as a website design company and renowned web designing company. With operational teams located in Delhi, Ireland and US, they can understand specifically different regional requirements and global market.

During the session the following points were discussed by Mr. Pankaj Prasad and Mr. Pawan Kumar:-

1) Gave a glimpse of the recent technology and applications which are widely used.

2) Scopes in the field of becoming business analyst and software developer.

3) How to make Android apps and also discussed about the Search engine optimization.

4) Updated regarding the Onsite project of the college and how they can use it to start their own business. For which they were told to do Project based learning. For example, If someone knows languages such as C, C++, Java, and so on. He/ she must have a crystal clear vision and command over the language.

5) And also it was discussed how to face an interview and what are the basic points to crack the interview, and what points should we follow to make students CV more realistic and adoptable in today’s world of competition so that they can crack the interview very easily.

The interactive session motivated the students. All the queries of the students regarding their career and the fields they want to focus in were properly responded. The enthusiastic students were so much inspired that they wanted to have the opportunity to interact with such kind of companies in their near future.
