DESIGN THINKING

Four Faculty Members Mr. Dharmendra Pal of Information Technology Department, Ms. Parul Bansal of Electronics & Computer Engineering Department, Mr. Chain Singh of Computer Science Engineering and Ms. Seema of Electronics & Communication Engineering from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a five-day workshop on Design Thinking organized at IIT Kanpur from 1st to 5th September 2014.

The objective of this workshop was to discuss the role of design, User-centric design process, Human behavior and quality of life and rapid prototypes etc.

An expert Mr. Raman Saxena the guest faculty at IIT Kanpur and Mr. J. Ram Kumar from Mechanical Engineering Department, IIT Kanpur covered the aspects related to additive manufacturing and virtual prototypes.

Mr. Ganesh N Prabhu from IIM Bangalore took a session on “Deciphering Competitor Business Models”. He discussed about the convincing reasons and alternatives to existing products and services.

The workshop was useful as the participants learnt various concepts as well as applications related to design thinking.
