FAREWELL FUNCTION

On 24th April, 2010, another batch of Dronacharya College of Engineering bid adieu amidst of ambience of nostalgia and heavily-heartedness. The beautiful evening witnessed an unforgettable farewell to the Final Year students, hosted jointly by the first, second and third year students in a very well organized and fabulous manner.

The ‘Bidai Samaroh’ commenced with the lighting of Lamp and Saraswati Vandana and Cultural Programs by the students enthralled the guests, staff and students to no end. An inspiring speech marked by emotions was given by Principal Prof. (Dr.) B. M. K. Prasad, who has looked over the outgoing students, being grown into impeccable Engineers from the raw sprout of talents when they joined the Dronacharya family. Hon’ble Chairman Dr. Satish Yadav, delivered a highly motivating speech advising the outgoing students to be the Brand Ambassador of their Alma-mater and be of service to the society and humanity at large. The esteemed Chief-Guest Prof. (Dr.) P. Thrimurthy praised the students for their excellent performance and advised the passing-out students to face the world with confidence and competence.

The highlight of the function was when the Chief-Guest Prof. (Dr.) P. Thrimurthy gave away Awards ceremony. The Meritorious students were bestowed with coveted Certificates and shields; and cash Awards of high value. Special cash Awards were given away to Mr. Vijender Hooda, Associate Profesor in IT Department (a fabulous award of Rs.51,000/- : Overall Best Faculty Award). Mr. Sachin Gupta, Associate Professor – Best Faculty Award of CSE Department; Mrs. Swati Jha, Assistant Professor – Best Faculty Award of ECE Department; Mrs. Meenakshi Yadav, Assistant Professor- Best Faculty of B. M. E. Department;  Mr. Rajesh Arora, Associate Professor – Best Faculty Award of M. E. Department; Dr. A. K. Singh, Associate Professor –Best Faculty Award of Applied Sciences and Humanities Department; Cash Award Rs.21,000/- given to Mr. Shashi Kadam for Best Administrative Staff and cash Award Rs.11,000/- given to Mr. Dharmvir for Best Non-Teaching Staff. The Best Department Award worth Rs.1,00,000/- (one lakh) was bestowed upon the ECE Department. The Function concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. S. K. Gupta, followed by dinners of delicious delicacies for all keeping in with the true spirit of Dronacharya hospitability.
