ENTREPRENEURSHIP EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM

The objective of this workshop was to provide a platform to disseminate knowledge on Material properties, energy applications, bioavailability etc.

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized an Entrepreneurship Empowerment Program on 21st August 2014 in association with National Institute for Entrepreneurship & Small Business Development (NIESBUD), Noida. NIESBUD is an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Micro, Medium and Small Enterprises, Government of India which organizes such kind of programs to create awareness about the initiatives taken by Govt. of India for entrepreneurs. The major activities of the Institute are Training of Trainers, Management Development Programme, Entrepreneurship-cum-Skill Development Programme, Entrepreneurship Development Programme and Cluster Intervention. The Objective of the Program was to manifesting the latent entrepreneurial spirit among the budding technocrats by organizing events & widen their knowledge of entrepreneurial skills.

The guest speaker at the event, Mr. A. Din. Pangotra, HR Manager, NIESBUD presented an orientate about various aspects of Entrepreneurship, such as how the Government of INDIA provides support to budding entrepreneurs, what all kinds of subsidies are extended by MSME to aspiring industries and what kind of innovation and creation is required by industries. He also guided the students about how to utilize the potential in them through various hands-on-activities. The program was followed by distribution of CDs which contained modules consisting detailed information regarding the program. After 15 days, an exam is being planned to be conducted by NIESBUD in association with MSME, GOI testing the students based on the modules present in the CD. All the students clearing the exam will be issued a certificate by NIESBUD, MSME, GOI. The program was very successful with participation of 182 students from the college.
