CSI CONTEST-13

The final Round of 2nd CSI National Student Project Contest -2013 was organized by Computer Society of India (CSI) at College of Technology and Engineering(CTAE), Udaipur on 16th March 2013. The contest aimed at involving young students from all over India in the quest of innovation in IT and to provide them an opportunity to demonstrate their technical projects.

Inaugurating the contest, Hon’ble Chief Guest Dr. Rajveer S. Shekhawat, General Manager, Security Meter shared the fabrication and importance of technical projects in the welfare of common man. The eminent dignitaries Dr. N. S. Rathore Dean, CTAE Udaipur, Dr. Dharam Singh, Vice Chairman CSI Udaipur Chapter, Chief Guest, Dr. R. K. Vyas Guest of Honour, Dr. M. L. Talesra Chairman CSI Udaipur, Mr. Mazher Hussain Secretary CSI Udaipur also graced the contest. The Vice- President CSI Prof. S. V. Raghavan also interacted with the participants through Video Conferencing. He expressed that there are lots of opportunities in the field of Computer Engineering. He suggested that CSI Chapter should also be started at the School level.

A number of projects like Multi Functional Robotic System, Wear Your World, VidCol-Video Editor, Remote Wireless System Analysis & Controlling, Behavioral Biometric Advanced Authentication, Beware of Snakes, Crunch Cloud, Data Transfer between two USB without computer, Speed Detection, Accident Detection & Emergency Services using Android Smart Phones, Voice Based Typing less Programming for Physically challenged people were demonstrated during the contest.

Hon’ble judges Dr. R. K. Vyas, Dr. D. K. Mishra and Dr. Rajveer S. Shekhawat evaluated all projects demonstrated in the contest. A project entitled “Multi Functional Robotic System” fabricated and demonstrated by Mr. Surya Mani Sharma, a student of IT Department at Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon won the 2nd Prize. He was also awarded with a cash prize Rs. 10,000/- by the Chief-guest.
