CoCubes Pre-assessment

Training and Placement Cell of Dronacharya College Of Engineering, Gurgaon in association with CoCubes.com, conducted Pre- assessment test for final year B.Tech students on 6th Feb, 2014. A total of 140 students participated in the test.

Pre-Assessment is a test conducted by CoCubes.com whose scores are used by companies to hire. Pre-Assessment is a mix of different modules which help assess a student on various skills. The score of this test is then shown to companies when you apply for them on CoCubes.com. More than 200 companies use CoCubes Pre-Assessment to hire.

Pre-assessment test conducted was of 3 hours. There were 5 sections. Details are as follows:
1. Aptitude – 60 minutes
2. Computer Fundamentals (15 minutes)
3. Domain – 30 minutes
4. Psychometric – 15 minutes
5. Coding – 60 minutes

Syllabus of Cocubes:
Aptitude Test (60 minutes)
1. Analytical Reasoning Visual Reasoning, Statement & Conclusions, Relationships, Logical Reasoning, Attention to Details, Flowcharts etc.
2. Numerical Reasoning Concepts of mathematics including Time & Work, Speed & Distance, Algebra, Equations, Progressions, Profit & Loss, Ratios, Averages, Geometry, Data Interpretation.

Computer Fundamentals (15 minutes)
1. Basics of C/C++/OOPS - beginner level understanding of how to program in C or C++, basic syntax of these languages, theoretical knowledge about how these languages work

2. Basics of Data Structures – Beginner level understanding of data structures about fundamental types of structures such as trees, various methods of sorting etc.

3. General topics in computing fundamentals to test knowledge about software, hardware, binary/decimal/hexadecimal conversions, everyday encounters with computers.

Domain Test (30 minutes)
1.Mechanical
Thermodynamics, IC Engines and Compressors, Theory of Machine, Engineering Material / Meterology, SOM, Fluid Mechanics.
2.Electronics
Electronic Devices & EMMI, Network Analysis and Synthesis, Microprocessor & Microcontrollers, Digital Electronics, Communication System, Electronic Circuits, Control System.
3.Computer Science / IT
C, C++, OOPS Concepts, Data Structures, DBMS concepts, Operating System Concepts, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Networking Concepts, Computer Architecture.
4.Psychometric (15 minutes)
Behavioral profiling based on commonly known personality traits.
5.Coding Test (60 minutes)
Writing codes to solve a set of problems in language of choice : C, C++, C#, Java.

Result will be declared on 13th Feb, 14.
