CICN 2013

Mr. Amar Saraswat, Assistant Professor from Computer Science and Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon presented his research paper entitled “Simulation of Endpoint based Call Admission Control using Retransmission Timer” in a two-day International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Communication Networks (CICN 2013) sponsored by IEEE & organised by MIR Labs at GLA University, Mathura from 27th to 29th September 2013.

The objective of this conference was to bring together researchers, engineers, developers and practitioners from academia and industry working in all major areas and interdisciplinary areas of computational intelligence, Communication systems, computer networks and soft computing to share their experience, and exchange their ideas.

Inaugurating the conference Prof. Hideyuki TAKAGI, Kyushu University, Faculty of Design, Fukuoka, Japan shared his views on Interactive Evolutionary Computation (IEC), Neuro - fuzzy Genetic Algorithms and Applications areas. He also explained that interactive evolutionary computation (IEC) is a tool combining human factors with evolutionary computation and can be used to optimize target systems based on human subjective evaluation, obtain hints or inspirations for human design or social communication, and analyze human characteristics.

Another invited speaker Dr. P. Raj, TOGAF-Certified Enterprise Architect from Wipro Consulting Services (WCS), Wipro Technologies, Bangalore delivered a lecture focussing on Interconnection between the devices eg. Microwave and Mobile phones, Green Lean and Elastic IT, Cloud Computing: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Sensor Cloud Invitation and Concerns/ Constraints for Cloud Computing. His lecture was followed by presentation of various technical research papers.

The conference ended with a valedictory function and certificate distribution ceremony.
