MICROSOFT IMAGINE CUP BOOT CAMP

The mega event of “MICROSOFT IMAGINE CUP BOOT CAMP” was organized at NGFCET, Palwal between 10th-11th March, 2015 at NGF College of Engineering and Technology. It witnessed speakers from Microsoft along with participants with innovative ideas from different colleges of NCR. Five students, Deepak Chandel (MSP), Vivek Teotia, Rahul Rana, Amber Singh & Dipti Bhardwaj (MSP) from the Computer Science and Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineeirng, Gurgaon attended the Boot Camp.

The 1st day of the event was divided into two sessions: (i) Seminar session and (ii) Presentation Round.

The dignitaries for that day were:

3. Ms. Harini Calamur ( Head: digital Content , Zee Media , Corporation)

4. Mr. Yogesh Rana (Tech Support , Microsoft)

5. Mr. Adtiya Mohan ( Marketing Manager : Student Programs Microsoft )

The day began with a seminar on the subject “How To Start Your Own Start Up And How Microsoft Is Helping The Upcoming Entrepreneurs To Nurture Themselves For Better Career Growth”. The seminar provided attendees with all the tools/ tactics one needs to establish a vibrant, efficient and collaborative learning environment, followed by a brief round of question answers session. The session was overall very knowledgeable and was well received by the audience. Day 1 was a complete package for the students to familiarize themselves with what is meant by Entrepreneurship and how Microsoft can help them to bring their ideas to real life.

The 2nd day was booked for technical session of coding on various platform by Ms. Lina, Professor, NGFCET, The other event enabled young entrepreneurs to have one to one session with the senior Microsoft official and other dignitaries, that enabled them to have a fruitful knowledge about how their idea can be implemented in the real world scenario and give appropriate profits. Three teams selected from the presentation round for the technical session, were to be trained to develop world class ideas.
