TECHNICAL TRAINING BY BOSCH LTD.

Twenty One Students from Mechanical Engineering branch of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon got the opportunity to get trained by BOSCH Limited between 10th to 14th November 2014. The Training program was related to fuel injection system and Engine Management.

Bosch Limited, an Indo- German initiative, is India’s largest automotive component manufacturer. Principal Prof. (Dr.) B.M.K Prasad inaugurated the program. Mr. Vijay Wakhlu, HOD (ME) started the event with an introduction of the training program and its usefulness. Then Ms. Deepika Sharma, Regional Trainer of Bosch Ltd explained the training methodology to the students.

During the training program students got both theoretical and practical knowledge on the following topics:

1. Introduction to engines

2. Petrol and diesel engines

3. Fuel injection system and pumps

4. Transmission system

5. Car alignment and balancing

Apart from the conventional classroom teaching, the training program spotlighted on imparting practical knowledge, which was indeed a great help to the students. Students were kept abeam of significant development happenings in the automobile sector via this training program. Along with these topics they were made aware of the advancements in the modern engines which are done with the holy grail of attaining maximum power and increasing the life of engines.

This training program not only enhanced the knowledge of the students about the working of engines but also honed their technical skills in the working environment of Bosch Ltd.
