START UP EXPO 2016

The Start - up Expo, the first ever initiative organised in Partnership with TiE Delhi and Lufthansa at Apparel House, Epicentre, Gurgaon on 23 April 2016. Four students namely Shivani Rao (17776), Sushil Sharma (16942), Lokesh Pandey (17074) and Priya Yadav (16955) from Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Dronacharya college of Engineering, Gurgaon attended the expo.

The objective of the expo was to bring together an ecosystem that can provide start - ups.

New start - ups including BoxMySpace, PrintStop, Giftsvilla , Linways Technologies, TagTech, Jmd Turf (A Waterless Glass), Braking Bad, Utpatang Morphedio, Load Your Track were among the participants of the Expo 2016. There was also Food Entrepreneurs with their start - ups, such as Chhai Thela, Youmist, Chocoriti, Juice Up, Fist Mania etc. Also, few of the companies such as like Naukri.com, Healers at Home etc were also invited in Startup Expo 2016.

BoxMySpace was a unique storage solution that helps to make space in urban life. People today are living in smaller houses and do not have the luxury of space to keep all their stuff around. The event was followed by live panel discussion in which Mr. Amitabh Kant, Chief Executive Officer, NITI Aayog discussed that budding entrepreneurs are required to build products and services keeping the global market in mind and various pitching up events were also in the queue at the venue.

It was a great experience for the students to be part of this event which was organised on a global platform. With the guidance of mentors the students got ideas and exposure about being budding entrepreneurs and foster their businesses better in future.
