SOFTWARE TESTING

Department of Computer Science & Engineering of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized a one-day workshop “Software Testing On Android Platform” on 11th September 2015. Fifty students from various departments of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended the Workshop.

The objective was to introduce Crowd Source Testing Platform over Android Operating System and to deliver featured rich services with measurable and reliable performance to ensure continued business for the users.

The workshop was conducted by testing company “SKY TESTERS” and was designed to increase the attendees’ knowledge and awareness on "Overview on Software testing". Software Testing is evaluation of the software against requirements gathered from users and system specifications. Testing is conducted at the phase level in software development life cycle or at module level in program code. Software testing comprises of Validation and Verification.

The event started with the presentation by key speaker Mr. Naren Bhardwaj, founder member & director, SKYTESTERS in which he explained the idea on hidden facts on testing and its features and how testing is a part of application making procedure where all the faults or possible problems which user could face in future are analyzed and removed for better performance of an android application and give them an overview of types of bugs present in an android application and importance of testing on android platform and discussed on differences between bug and its feedback.

In the second session students were asked to do hands on session by downloading android application and analyze the application to detect about the issues related to it. Students actively participated and cleared their doubts on testing.

The session was really very helpful as students came to know about identifying bugs and issues in an android application.
