SEMINAR

Seminar on International Internships was organized by Computer Science & Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon on 1st October 2014 in association with AIESEC.

AIESEC (headquartered in Rotterdam, Netherlands) is an international non-governmental not-for-profit organization that provides young people with leadership development and cross-cultural global internship. AIESEC network includes over 100,000 members in 133 countries. AIESEC has a consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and is affiliated with the UN DPI and UN's Office of the Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth. It is a member of ICYMO, and is recognized by UNESCO.

Four representatives from AIESEC namely Mr.Vaibhav, Mr. Shubham, Ms. Bhavani and Mr. Akshay visited Campus and discussed about the various International Internships available for students. They discussed on International HR and the four sectors of AIESEC which provides support in their duration, stipend, visa and accommodation.

During the seminar, Mr. Vaibhav highlighted about the two international internship opportunities provided by AIESEC.

1. Youth Global Entrepreneurs’ Program – The six week development internship offers students an opportunity to hone their leadership and experience a new culture, participate in a development project, and develop their entrepreneurial skills.

2. Youth Global Internship Program- The three to eighteen month internship offers a unique opportunity to final year students and recent graduates to hone their professional skills and gain international work experience.

It was a very enriching and knowledgeable seminar. Students who are interested in international internships gained a lot after attending the seminar.
