ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SEMINAR 2009

A National Seminar titled Artificial Intelligence was organized by the CSE & IT Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Khentawas, Farrukh Nagar (Gurgaon) on 17th July 2009 under the Chairmanship and Co-Chairmanship of Principal Dr. B. M. K. Prasad and Dean Academics Prof. Onkar Singh respectively. Prof. Jitender Kumar, HOD of the concerned Department, was the Convener of this innovative event and Mr. Rajesh Arora of the Mechanical Department was the Co-ordinator. The Technical Committee comprised of Prof. (Dr.) Supriya Panda, Prof. Anil Jain and Prof. Anil Chopra of the CSE & IT Department.

The primary purpose of the seminar was to share and nurture ideas on a broad range of Artificial Intelligence covering areas as Expert Systems, Fuzzy Logic, Neural Network, Robotics etc. Deep insight and meticulous attention are the hall-marks of Artificial Intelligence which makes a subtle approach to intelligent learning. A kaleidoscopically growing number of fields and theories which are the phenomenal off shoots of this technology may be watched with intense interest.

Evidently, research in this sphere has accentuated with the concept of uncertainty in the realms of industrial systems and consumer products. Research in Artificial Intelligence has led to the emergence of advanced level computer languages and word processors. A sizeable number of participants from amongst the Faculty of the college and from other colleges made their presence felt through Paper presentation and enthusiastic participation. The event was an unprecedented success and will go down in the annals of the college as a fountain-head of inspiration.
