PICTURESQUE ON WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY DAY

Photography Club of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organised an event “PICTURESQUE” on the occasion of World Photography Day on 19th August 2016. It witnessed an active participation of students from various departments. Ms. Reva Nagi from Computer Science and Engineering Department co-ordinated the event.

The event was scheduled in three different rounds. In the First round, the students had to submit a candid photograph clicked by them. In the Second round, the students had to click a photograph in the college campus only. Finally in the last round, the students had to convey a story / message through a series of photographs based on the themes given. These themes included varied topics such as Environmental Trash, Forms in Nature, Street Scenes, Junk Yards and Down by Water.

The jury members included Dr. Karanjit Singh, Principal, DCE, Dr. Jitendra Kumar (Academic Administrator), Mrs. Dimple Saproo, Head of ECE Deptt., and Mr Mukesh Chawla (CSE Deptt). Jury members were glad to see the students expressing their views through the collection of photographs.

Dr. Karanjit Singh expressed his views on the Photography Day and gave away the prizes to the winners. Kashika Grover of CSE Department won the first prize .
