MICROSOFT WEB DEV CAMP

Microsoft Corporation (India), organized an event on “WEB DEVCAMP & MSP MEET” to introduce new technology basically the web development and guided all the present MSP to work in a technical field to innovate new technical things , at their Gurgaon office on 30th January 2016. Seven students from CSE & IT department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon namely Rahul Rana (16124), Brijesh Aggarwal (16044), Mohit Manuja (17087), Chanakya Sethi (17039), Ria Arora (17114), Anikete Bajaj (17511) & Sushil Sharma (16942) attended the Event.

Ms. Usha Rathnavel, Director Microsoft Student Partner Program, started the first session. 200 MSP from Delhi - NCR Region were present at the event. She introduced all about technology and explained the tools and various products. Then she introduced that all the MSP’s are provided with MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network subscription), which will help them to use Microsoft products professionally. She also focused on three things to become a good MSP i.e. Honesty towards the program, Creative Technical Skills and Self - motivation.

The next session was delivered by Mr. Saurabh Kirtani, Technical Evangelist. He gave a brief introduction of all present MSP’s and guided on HTML - 5, CSS, and JavaScript where He mentioned new features of HTML - 5 and discussed about difference from previous HTML versions. While explaining the features he also explained about bootstrap and gave Example of Joe’s coffee store website. At last, three demo classes were held from which all MSP learned about website building using HTML-5, HTML with CSS, and HTML with CSS & JavaScript. Then Mr. Saurabh ended up by taking doubts about different student projects.

Overall, the experience was very interesting and knowledgeable. Students got to know about different products, tool & got inspired as well.
