Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized Microsoft Ideation Festival - 2016 on (10th - 11th) ) March, 2016 in association with Microsoft Innovation Centre (MIC). This fest was organized with mission to help students in nurturing and harboring their innovations and enacting their ideas into products and fostering entrepreneurship. Around 50 plus students from various department participated in this fest.

During the event , students gave their best innovative ideas in the field of Software, E-Commerce, Hardware and presented their ideas on topics like Floating display, Safety for women by windows app, home services to women, road tracking appliances, Environment Safety and Social issues. These projects emphasized more on “Make in India” concepts by sharing their views regarding what they actually feel and give their personal opinion in the chosen topic. Mrs Renu Narwal, Ms Jyoti Pruthi and Ms Sarita (Assistant Professor) of Dronacharya College of Engineering accumulated the titles of ideas from students to judge the Ideation event.

Session ended with motivational and inspirational speech by Mr Amar Saraswat (Asst. Prof) from Dronacharya College of Engineering, who announced the results. The team Excelsior secured the 1st position where as Team Brothers and Team Technovators obtained the 2nd and 3rd position respectively. The result was based on various parameters such as Problem statement, Approach used in solving the problem, innovation and feasibility. Top three ideas delivered by students received a Certificate of Achievement.
