PLACEMENT DRIVE BY INDIAN NAVY

Indian Navy, one of the three wings of Indian Defense Services, conducted 3 - Days Joint Campus Placement Drive on 26th to 28th September 2016 for B. Tech 2017 at Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon under University Entry Scheme - 2017. 168 students from DCE, Gurgaon and 65 students from other colleges participated in the drive. The Drive was conducted by team of 4 Officers and 1sailor from Indian Navy.

The Indian Navy is a well - balanced and cohesive three dimensional force, capable of operating above, on and under surface of the oceans efficiently safeguarding our national interests. The Navy has three commands, each under the control of a Flag Officer Commanding - in - Chief - the Western Naval Command (Headquarters at Mumbai), the Eastern Naval Command (Headquarters at Visakhapatnam) and the Southern Naval Command (Headquarters at Kochi). The Western and the Eastern Naval Command are operational commands and the Southern Command is designed as the Training Command.

The campus placement drive at the College was conducted by a team led by Cdr. Rajeev Sharma, Lt. Cdr. Vnkatesh PB, Cdr. Manu Paliwal and Lt. Cdr SAS Vaid. The recruitment process included - Presentation, Group Discussion and Interview.

Cdr. Rajeev Sharma addressed the students about Indian Navy, their Vision, Mission and finally their career path in Navy through Power Point presentation which lasted for 1 hour.

After the Power point presentation students were divided into batches for Group Discussion on Various topics followed by personal Interviews.

The result of the drive is still awaited. The Navy officials had a detailed and healthy interaction with the management fraternity and they came out fully satisfied with the 3 - Days Recruitment process. At last, they put emphasize on the long time association with Institution, appreciated the extended support in drive and quality of hospitality provided in the campus.
