Nikhil Goel (Roll no. 14455) and Deepak Vashisth (Roll no. 14413) reached the finals of TCS Testimony, Software Testing Contest held on 8th September 2014. TCS Testimony is an automation software testing competition conducted worldwide. This time the competition was for automation tools ‘Selenium’ and ‘Jmeter’. Competition consisted of total three rounds out of which two rounds were online and the Grand Final was organised at the TCS centre at Sholinganallur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. 8000 teams participated in round one out of which 298 teams was able to make up to round two.10 teams selected for the grand finale. Dronacharyans team was one of them.

After quick introduction, every team was given a task sheet. Our Team used “Selenium” tool, Eclipse IDE, Microsoft Excel sheets and Firebug 2.0.6. It was followed by an hour of mind-boggling coding. Finally our team stood 4th and were offered an internship as well as a ‘placement offer’. Over all it was great learning experience.
